FAQ

Where is the school located?
The school is located in Renfrew at 354 Stewart St. , on the corner of Stewart and Elgin, which is across the street from Tim Horton’s and Wendy’s.

What grades do you have? We have students in grades JK – 8.

What are the school hours?
We have Junior and Senior Kindergarten classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. We have a preschool program for 3 -5 year olds on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

How many students are in each class?
Currently, classes have 6 -19 students per room. We will have slightly larger classes as the school grows, but we are committed to a low student to teacher ratio.

How many students are in the school?
This school year (2009-2010) we have 20 students enrolled in grades JK-8.

How old do children have to be to start Junior Kindergarten?
Children must be four years old on or before December 31 of the school year in order to start Junior Kindergarten.

Do you serve hot lunch?
Students bring bag lunches from home. Students can participate in a daily milk program. We enjoy one or two hot lunches per month.

Do you have buses?
No, our families come from various communities near Renfrew. Car pools can be arranged with the assistance of office information.

Do you have a financial aid program?
Yes. Parents may contact the school for more information about this program.

Are you associated with a particular church or denomination?
No, RDCS is an independent, non-denominational Christian school with students from a variety of churches enrolled.

How long has the school existed?
RDCS has been in operation since 1985. We give thanks for serving the community for over 20 years!

Is the school accredited?
RDCS is registered with the province of Ontario. RDCS is a member of the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools Canada and Christian Schools International.
