Enrollment Policy

What follows is our policy for enrollment. Parents and students are also encouraged to visit the school and see our classes in progress. You may call 613-432-4340 to set up an appointment. We are excited about the kind of education that we offer at RDCS and we would like to share it with as many families as possible.
Eligibility for Enrollment
- 1. All school age children are eligible for enrollment, but parent(s)/applicant(s) must agree with the principles of the school and its Constitution. The Constitution of RDCS explains our purpose, basis, and the religious principles on which we are founded. It is required that parent(s)/applicant(s) become members of the school society. By becoming members, the parent(s)/applicant(s) acknowledge that they are Christians and that they support the school and its practices and policies. Membership fees are included in the regular tuition and membership is granted after a one-page application has been completed and approved by the Board of Directors after the Admissions Interview.
- The Board reserves the right to withhold or withdraw enrollment privileges for any of the following reasons:
a) when the available facilities are filled
b) when a student cannot or will not benefit from the school’s program
c) when a student is suspended for gross misbehavior
d) when the school and home cannot reach mutual agreement about the nurturing of the child(ren) and/or when there is no desire by the parent(s) to nurture their children in the ways of the Lord thereby conflicting with the purpose and goals of our school.
- No child shall be excluded from enrollment at RDCS on the basis of race, colour, or national origin.
Enrollment Procedure
- The parent(s)/applicant(s) contact the school, are provided with a school information package, and are invited to meet with the principal.
- The parent(s)/applicant(s) meet with the principal to discuss the school’s mission, program, structure, parental expectations, and admission requirements. A tour of the school is given and any questions are answered.
