Who Is RDCS?
LOCATION
Renfrew & District Christian School (RDCS) is an elementary school located at 354 Stewart Street in Renfrew, Ontario. It offers relevant, Christian education to students from Junior Kindergarten to grade eight.
HISTORY
The Renfrew & District Christian School first opened its doors as an educational institution in September 1985, with only twelve students from nine families. In 1985, classes were held in the St. John Ambulance House. The following year, Stewart Hall, our current facility, was purchased from the United Church.

Renfrew & District Christian School equips children for a lifetime of service to God within a well rounded educational environment in partnership with the Christian community.
MISSION
Renfrew & District Christian School educates children through an academic program based on the Word of God within a dedicated support community.
COMMUNITY
The Renfrew & District Christian School Society is an organization of parents and other supporters of Christian education. Some are grandparents of our students; others are members of local churches, or family members of RDCS alumni. Without the generous financial and organizational support of the society, the school would not be in existence today. Not only do the society members support the philosophy of Christian education, but they also support the school’s annual operating budget through their membership fees and support of fundraising efforts. In the Christian school community, members strive to bring all facets of life under the rule of God. In the classroom, at our jobs, within our churches and families, and in our recreation, we seek to praise and serve God.

Renfrew & District Christian School (RDCS) is an independent Christian day school that seeks to provide high quality, faith-based education to families in the Renfrew region. Our on-going mission is to provide excellence in academics, Christian conduct, service to God, and the development of mature Christian youth. In short, RDCS is interested in the development of mind, body, and soul.
Renfrew & District Christian School operates under the belief that each child is unique and needs to be nurtured spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, socially, physically and vocationally with homes, local churches and school working in partnership. For more than 20 years, RDCS has been educating and making a difference in the lives of the many students that have attended the school.
Renfrew & District Christian School emphasizes responsibility, integrity and doing one’s best as foundations for Christian character. RDCS also believes that parents should be partners with the school in educating their children, which is why parents, through a Board of Directors and several standing committees, oversee every aspect of the school’s operation. Fully accredited teachers are accountable to God, the school, parents and students.
The curriculum at RDCS conforms to the Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines and regulations. Each student receives a solid education in reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, science, physical education, health education, music, French and art. Bible is also taught as a separate subject and church history is introduced in the senior grades.
Renfrew & District Christian School celebrates something special each year as it gears up to welcome new children and new families from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. After more than 20 years of serving the Renfrew community, the excitement is still fresh as the school plans for each year’s enrollment.
The Renfrew & District Christian School is ready to serve the Christian community and will provide excellent Christian education and your children.
